Simply put we love cycling. We love everything about it. And that translates into the passion of our team when you meet them. We love bicycles of every kind, electric, new, refurbished and we love all the places we can go, and adventures we can have, by getting on our bikes.
Who Are We?
We are a not-for-profit cycling initiative and social enterprise. We are part of Healthy n Happy Community Development Trust; a charity that was set up to improve the health and wellbeing of local residents and communities within CamGlen. So if it is important to you to spend your pennies and realise some social and environmental impact then you're making a good choice buying from us.
Why Do We Do It?
Our aim is to make it as easy as possible for people to get on their bikes and view cycling as an attractive, affordable and sustainable method of transport.
Cycling has a multitude of health benefits for society as a whole and we believe that more people on bikes means more positive impact for everyone! Research shows that cycling improves health and wellbeing, with physical and mental benefits for individuals and contributing to cleaner air and happier, healthier neighbourhoods. Travelling by bike also encourages us to shop local and therefore improves the local economy and greatly reduces the carbon monoxide levels where you live.
From a community perspective active travel encourages greater interaction with our neighbours; helping to reduce social isolation and promoting a sense of community and belonging.
What Do We Do?
We believe cycling should be available to everyone. That means making it affordable and accessible; breaking down socioeconomic barriers and encouraging individuals to make changes that will directly benefit themselves and their communities.
