About the event
Bike Town is running a series of Essential Cycle Skills sessions throughout 2024.
Our Complete Beginner sessions are suitable for adults new to cycling or keen to get back in the saddle after a long break from riding.
These sessions will introduce the basics for safe cycling; essential skills, bike handling/control and an introduction to cycle safety.
If you want to learn to ride a bike, improve your cycling or build confidence, these sessions are for you! We also run a session introducing riders to the road, so please see our Introduction to On-road Cycling events for more information if this applies to you.
The Beginner cycling session is around 1 hour long. Ideally you'll have your own bike that is in a roadworthy condition, but we can supply a bike if you do not have access to one. Please dress for the weather.
Booking is essential and limited slots are available. If you book a slot and then for any reason cannot make it, please cancel your booking so that someone else can take your place.
Our skilled instructors are Cycling Scotland accredited and will support you to improve your cycle confidence and cycle safely!
