Learn to fix

LEARN TO FIX

Don’t know your cranks from your cassettes or your stems from your seat-posts? Sick of puncturing mid ride and having to phone your mum/dad/partner/best friend’s brother to come pick you up? Is the constant screech of brake rub driving you round the bend?

Well, maybe it’s time to learn some basic bike maintenance. Knowledge is power as they say!

No matter what kind of riding you do, or aspire to do, knowing how to adjust, fix and safety check your own bike is a rewarding and empowering experience, with financial and health benefits.

Not only will some basic bike maintenance knowledge get you out of trouble; it will save you money as you rely less on bike shops for minor tweaks and fixes. There are many tasks that you can perform yourself, at home with minimal tools (and a little patience!).

A better understanding of how your bike works you will allow you to keep it running smoothly throughout the year and will make you a safer and more confident cyclist.

Please do keep in mind that if you have a fix that is beyond your current skillset, there is no replacement for a knowledgeable bike mechanic. Just get in touch and we can advise.
