You can support the work we do at Bike Town in a number of ways. All donations are an investment in the future of the people in our communities of Cambuslang and Rutherglen, and are gratefully received.

Bikes & Cycling Accessories

Donated bikes are the life blood of Bike Town. A regular influx of donations helps us support our work promoting cycling to local residents through regular activities, events, training and volunteering opportunities. Through selling refurbished bikes sourced from donations we are also able to fulfil one of our key aims which is to make cycling more accessible for all by providing quality bikes no matter the individual’s budget.

We accept good quality bikes kept undercover no matter, the age or size.

We cannot accept bikes that have been left outside to rust and corrode for an extended period of time.  Unfortunately bikes like these cannot be refurbished nor can the components be reused.

Secondary to bikes we also welcome donations of parts and cycling accessories in working order.

Bike uplift service

Due to  working in line with government guidelines to stay safe against Covid-19 our capacity to uplift bikes is limited and may be unavailable at certain times.  Bikes can be dropped of at Bike Town, 5 Thomson Court, Rutherglen, G73 2RR during our operational hours.

While we always ask individuals that they donate their bike to us by bringing it directly to our premises we appreciate not everyone can make the trip. It pains us to see a perfectly good bike (or their parts) go to waste so we provide the option to uplift the bike from a provided address. If you would like to access this service please fill in the form below and one of our team will be in touch to arrange a pick-up in our ELECTRIC Bike Town van.

As part of Healthy n Happy Community Development Trust we have helped thousands in Cambuslang and Rutherglen feel healthier and happier, BUT we cannot do this without your help.

As a charity we need to raise income and funds for our projects supporting our local residents and communities.  We need committed and enthusiastic people like you to get involved.  Whether you hold a sponsored event, take part in an organised event, make a one off donation or a regular donation or give us your time and energy, you can make a huge difference to the most vulnerable of all ages in our communities.
